Not always about the money though. I got money-whipped into a summer internship during graduate school doing something I didn't want to do. Most money I've ever made and was my least favorite job ever. Maybe he just loves baseball.

One of the reasons Palisch played this season was in hopes of improving his draft stock. He was very disappointed last year that he wasn't drafted. Chasing his dream. Hopefully he gets an UDFA offer.

Brauny reported earlier that Palisch was looking at a few FA offers, so I think we'll hear more shortly.

Yes it would, however it might be a baseball option for Jacob if he continues to pursue his grad degree at A&M. Of course this is nothing but conjecture, I don't have any idea how much work he has left in obtaining his degree or if he is interested in coaching or if a position is even open. Still hopeful there is a playing option out there for him if that is what he wants to try.

Just met JT in person. He's one of the coaches for my boy's group at Aggie baseball camp and y'all are 100% correct. I was going off the roster but even 5'10" is generous. I can see about 5'9" 170.

My son just turned 12 yesterday and is headed into 7th grade so he just had a physical and he's 5'7" 140. Almost as big as JT but one is a grown-man and the other is still a boy who hasn't come close to hitting puberty yet.

I'm not opining on his play because JT was huge, especially down the stretch but I wouldn't call him stout by any means. He's definitely an athlete though.

Nice kid. When I told him how much fun it was watching them play and how much I loved the change in plate approaches I got a "thank you, sir." Made me feel old and then I remember that with me being 45 and him like 22 or 23 I am actually old enough to be his daddy. FML

At the end of camp today Hutch and Coach Fox are talking to the boys about mental approach and stuff. Hutch calls out JT for being a competitor "even though he's the same size of some of you 12-year olds."
