I never keep up with the MLB draft so I have to ask an ignorant question: Has anyone been drafted yet (2022 draft) who is a current Ag on roster or an incoming HS kid? Browsed through the list and nothing jumped off the page. TIA for any guidance.

Half way through Day 2 with no Aggies or recruits selected. Look for Palisch, Rock, and Claunch s as possible selections in the second half of today's rounds.

This is the first year I can remember in which the Ags have no high draft picks, esp among the signees. Did we sign a very good class of recruits, or is this Scloss being a baseball genius on how to evaluate and avoid the MLB draftees.

I hope so. Somewhat surprised Troy and Jacob have not been picked yet. Rock I understand a little since he is not a great defensive outfielder.

With the roster squeeze of so many transfers coming in, it would be more beneficial for Micah to start his pro career then fight for playing time.

Surprised that Rock was drafted ahead of claunch, but no surprise it wasn't before 8th round. Lack of eligibility means more likely to drop to lower valued draft slots unless there's a reason to make sure you're not picked up by another club.

That's it for Day 2. 300 picks tomorrow. The difference tomorrow is that not signing a player will not hurt a team's draft pool money. They can still pay picks over $125,000, but any amount over will have to come from their draft pool. Teams may take some fliers to see if they can convince someone to go pro. Brauny thinks Moo will get picked tomorrow. Clanunch and Palisch are also candidates.

Same here.

Palisch is a nasty lefty who came thru over and over and over in high leverage situations against some the best sticks that NCAA baseball has to offer.
