This guy brings back memories. Him and Mark Ross were on the team my junior year when Olsen Field was opened, and the Aggies won the SWC that year. What I remember most about that season was the Astros coming to Olsen to play an exhibition game between their spring training and opening day.Mr.Ackar07 said:
When the Aggies would get a runner on first I remember thinking how funny it looked for these skinny white kids to be standing next to Bull Watson. The Aggies won the game 1-0. For sure the Astros weren't taking the game too seriously, a couple of days later they opened against the Reds and shelled Tom Seaver in the early innings. But that was one of about a million times in my life thinking that baseball is a funny game.
I've posted about this game before and no one has ever commented. Am I the only one who remembers it?
