Appreciate you mentioning this, and while "stomped dreams" is very appropriate there is really no hard feelings. It is how baseball is these days and we got caught up in the "older player" portal situation and too many for the roster. Visited 3-4 JUCO's and found a paying home up Hwy. 6 so the dream continues. Sounds like y'all have a great perspective and wish nothing but success. The $ problem in NCAA baseball really is a dang travesty, esp pre-NIL. My #1 wish in all of NCAA sport is more dollars for baseball, both schollies and coaches.

Of all the Aggie prospects ( position players) in the past 10 years, I thought Banks had the best chance of having a good career in the majors than anyone. Such a sweet left handed swing. And he hasn't given up, he spent most of last year in AAA but the clock's ticking. Sure hope the best for him.Mr.Ackar07 said:

I haven't seen or heard of one of these in ages, but when MJ was coach, we regularly had an alumni game during Fall Ball.
Chuck Knoblauch came into town for the 1991 alumni game. He was on the evening news appearing at a card show (remember card shows?!?) in town and charging money for autographs.
That night at the game he presented Pat Olsen with a bat signed by all of the alumni players. Mr. Olsen was in the stands, and as Knoblauch walked over to him, he was roundly hissed. Then some guy with a deafening voice yelled "Hey Knoblauch, how much you gonna charge him for the bat?" It was a pretty crazy thing to witness.
