I see Keith Hernandez on the back of the '88 Mets roster. There has been a big push from the media in STL to get him into the HOF over the last year or two. The consensus opinion is the he's is one of the best defensive first basemen ever and that modern metrics show how much more valuable he was offensively than people realized when he was playing.

I didn't see him play enough to have an opinion, but Ozzie Smith was in the booth for an inning a couple of nights ago on the Cards broadcast and said that he (Hernandez) was the best he'd ever seen at the position (1st base).

Anyways... it's September and less than half a year to more Aggie baseball. Not to mention fall ball is NEXT MONTH!!
