Wind blowing from the east to start the game, helping blow some balls out to left field perhaps, turning to ESE around 8 pm (per weather.com). Strange yesterday, given how hot it was, to have the wind blowing in.

I never applied to A&M out of HS. I grew up in an Austin suburb and was a longhorn fan.

Went to tech, had a roommate who wanted to transfer to A&M for industrial distribution. Bledsoe Dorm. He wanted to room up again in College station. I was chasing a girl that lived in Austin, so I applied. I was EE, I got in to A&M, he didnt.

Rest is history, and I love A&M with every fiber of my being. I consider myself lucky. I lived in the ****ty Treehouse Apartments just off Marion Pugh, across from Olsen field and across from Calloway House....I went to the Bonfire Memorial the day it opened, early in the morning at about 5am -- it was foggy and eerie, and I was changed forever.

My younger brother visited me several times and was matriculated from A&M as well. Good, smart kid.

Their starter today has gone 100+ pitches in 6 games this year, and he didn't start games until mid March. Last outing he threw a 142 pitch complete game. They will probably try to ride him as long as possible; likely won't use Perrin, as he hasn't thrown 2 days in a row all year. Will probably go to Jake Hammond after Shultz.
