As a "Former", who wore his pants long at every level, I like and prefer the look and feel. I also had teammates who chose to wear them up. To each his own. Just win baby!!

As someone with a life, I can't either.

I think it's human nature that "normal" is largely defined as the way things were when you were a kid. When I was a kid, stirrups were part of my Little League uniform (we're talking late 70s/early80s here). I thought that long pants on a ball player made him look like wait staff 30 years ago, and I still feel that way.

I also turned 50 in December and realize that no college kid alive today remembers big leaguers wearing stirrups. The issue is completely unimportant to me, yet fun to b**ch about on game threads.

I prefer stirrups too but I'm also 64. The old "back when I played" statement.

Schloss has said in interviews that he prefers pulled up pants but he knows that he has to pick his battles so he gives them the option Friday & Saturday but have to pull them up for Sunday. He seems like a players coach for the most part and I think that's why he is such a great national recruiter

Pulled up socks has zero to do with winning. But it is more uniform and appeals to those that like Yankees.

I don't care and it's your chip on your shoulder you're pushing. It's an act of control and you should graciously admit you're just arguing for your taste to predominate because that's what you want. But I don't mind if we win. But those aren't stirrups so it isn't pure.
