Look, I get the consideration of O'Sullivan and Vitello, but surely Bianco is a candidate.

Why would Bianco be a candidate, other than nepotism? His record is less impressive than the one that just got Childress fired.
Tigers care more about winning than hiring a coach that once upon a time played for them.Buford T. Justice said:
He's one of them.

I think that he would do quite well there.
Would that translate to winning it all? That's a roll of the dice.
Personally, I don't understand why Vitello would leave Tennessee, since he's building the program from modern day scratch.
No. Bjork would be run out of town on a rail if he hired Bianco because of past relationship.Buford T. Justice said:
Do any of you think that he would be a legit candidate for our job given the past affiliation with Bork? I'm not presenting this as, he's a fantastic coach and we should look at him, but rather, legitimately in the mix due to past working relationships and being a known commodity.
Bjork should be fired if his best idea is to hire Bianco.Buford T. Justice said:

Good because I'd rather rehire RC than have Bianco in the Aggie dugout,Maroon Elephant said:
Bianco has better facilities at Ole Miss and they recruit really well. It would take a big payday for him to leave.

According to some program insiders I know through family, Bianco is not held in high regard. He was being previously considered for the job and allegedly questioned why would he trade the job at Ole Miss (where he only need to occasionally make it to Omaha) for the high/unrealistic expectations of the LSU job. As you can imagine, that type of comment did not set well with some.
Of course Bianco thinks Ole Miss is a better gig, job security. This is 21st season in Oxford, he has been to Omaha once. They expect a lot more in Baton Rouge,Divining Rod said:discosuperfly said:

In other words, he's out of the running because of something he said, which is basically "thanks but no thanks, I got a better gig here at Oxford"!
I didnt date Phoebe Cates, for much the same reason- she tood me to get lost. i took her out of the running after that comment.
The story of Bjork extending Bianco and the lack of an extension this year is one worth looking up.jkag89 said:Of course Bianco thinks Ole Miss is a better gig, job security. We should know within 36-48 hours. If LSU doesn't announce O'Sullivan within that timeframe, then it's going to be someone else. If off the field stuff is the deciding factor, I wouldn't be shocked if they went with Bianco, but I think that would be purely a political move. If they have to have LSU connections, Godwin would be a better choice.austinag1997 said:
I believe Woodward is considering Bianco. Peehaps O'Sullivan's off-field issues are too much for them to stomach given their own issues.
Been told he is. Some boosters like hometown boy leading the team. Kinda like bringing Mulkey back but O'Sullivan still reportedly leader in the clubhouse.Buford T. Justice said:
