-- Pittsburgh...finished 16-17 in the ACC with several quality series wins...RPI #50

I'd say the SEC is going to get a 9th team. Bama probably needed another tournament win to trump LSU's winning the season series between the two. Mainieri is not done yet

It will probably be Old Dominion, who is likely to be the 1 seed at South Carolina (they did not submit a big to host). I don't believe that you can pair conference opponents (1 seeds) before Omaha, unless they changed the rule when they decided to seed 1 to 16.

Probably. If the Vols get close, Vitello might feel he has unfinished business at Tennessee.

I don't know, Charlotte was the regular season champ. Don't know how the committee can leave out the regular season champ of a multiple bid league.

I guess if TCU wins and makes a big run then we know schlossnagle still has "it." I still would prefer Vitello. How much credit does sarloos get for what TCU has been in baseball? I'm sure sarloos would be promoted if we do get schloss.

I could also see Southern Miss being left out, I just don't think conference USA is deserving of 4 bids based on overall conference strength, and I think Old Dominion was getting in either way.

I don't think the result of the conference tournament stole a bid.

I am not sure why people want to give Saarloos so much credit. He is a good pitching coach, no doubt, but Schloss seems really good at finding good assistants.
