yes, Kentucky (29-23) is done.

the Wildcats played a charmin soft non-conference schedule...then opened league play vs. Missouri and Auburn.

so things were looking good at 5-1 in the league at the end of March.

but then reality hit...and the 'cats lost every series the rest of the way (except Alabama).

good chance Kentucky will rotate back on A&M's schedule next season

I want this as well, but more than that I want the Ags to get the best possible coach. I would love to have our deal wrapped up before LSU is officially in the market.

John, I admire your dedication to the craft starting this thread. Thanks for doing this. I'm sure some people are still concerned with the conference tourney, but I'm not one of them. We're not in it, baseball is now on the back burner, except for the coaching search. Anyway, Thanks for doing this thread for the ones who care.

This is the first time I can remember since the Ags move to the SEC that Day 1 of the Tournament is close to on time. Still this old man will probably be in bed before Game 4 is close to being finished.

I too am hate-watching today like an addict and even signed up for ESPN+ to watch ECU stink up the place.

Post-season baseball is really good, even if the Aggies are at home.

I would go to Hoover and Omaha every year if I could afford it. Both are amazing experiences even if your team isn't there.

Agree. My wife worked for a company full of LSU grads and they have a big tailgate every year for the CWS. It is almost a perfect sporting event IMO.

Have a tu cousin that met spouse there in the marching band and then did grad school at LSU. They've lived outside Baton Rouge ever since (about 30 years) working in the patch. They go every year and man they've seen their teams a lot.

I want that.

Full expectation they still make a regional. Most projections have them at a 3 due to their top 25-ish RPI. Purple and gold are going to descend on some poor school en masse and it would not surprise me one bit to see them make a super.

I think they make a regional as a 3 seed.

LSU's SOS/RPI might still get them into the NCAA Tournament and the field for that will be announced Monday. Keep in mind there is also an extra at-large bid with the Ivy League not playing this spring. My guess at the earliest will be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week if the Tigers don't get an invite.

If LSU does get an invite, it would be a disservice to send them to la tech. Considering how TCU played down the stretch, it they don't make a little noise in the BDFTourney they would deserve a potentially dangerous LSU as a 3 seed. It would also be fun if the sent them to Notre Dame since that where Mainieri first came onto the national scene.

I really prefer the ACC tourney structure because i dont like the single elimination format, i havent pulled the trigger on Hoover in a while since we havent been guarenteed more than one game lately

lost all the other key ones to Vandy, State, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Carolina.
