There was a lot of stuff going on today. Auburn basically called us out and we did not answer.

feels like the Ags are playing for a regional host slot tomorrow.
can't lose a home series to a likely host competitor (Auburn)

I can't figure out this team. Take 2 out
Of 3 from vandy at olsen, make numerous mistakes at LSU and lose, lose to tx state, lose at dbu, play a all around great game last night, and then follow it up with this performance
Losing Hunter Coleman was big since he was heating up. Add to that others playing banged up or, in and out of the lineup with injuries. Plus you don't have much production if any from your bench. I think that's what killed the momentum at the plate.ftworthag02 said:

just looked it up...all 5 home runs came at Kentucky.
so the Ags have not hit a home run in a conference game at Blue Bell park this season.

only 5 weeks left in the regular season after tomorrow.
and after the way the committee hosed the SEC last year --- only 4 regional hosts --- the competition among the 8 teams in host contention:
UGA, Vandy, Ole Miss, State, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, and A&M...will be very tight
I agree. But the key is beating the SEC teams you are playing, not your OOC schedule. When push comes to shove the committee will look at your SEC record because that is probably the most accurate way of determining hosts. If you finish one game over five hundred in the SEC and LSU finishes a game or two ahead of you and wins the series, I think LSU would get the host even if you played a tougher OOC schedule and had a better rpi. The good thing about being in the SEC is that if you win in conference you have zero worries. The bad thing is that it is damn hard to win in conference.Captain Pablo said:W said:

This is EXACTLY the issue
People On here convinced that we have a lock on a host even if we are 5th or 6th are wrong
