Piss poor work travel on my part - I just left Knoxville. They had sleet and snow last weekend but this week looks better. Folks there that follow baseball are NOT optimistic.

Interesting, only 3 SEC schools have winning records on the road.

I don't know how you could ask for a better weather forecast -- as long as the Sunday game doesn't run extremely long.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really wish A&M was playing a Thursday game this week. Stuck out of town for work and don't get home til Saturday. Would love to be able to watch the Ags tonight.

I was going to go to Knoxville, but have to be in Odessa for a hearing on Tuesday morning (love spending $300 for a hotel room in the Permian Basin), so I'm going to Starkville instead. Unfortunately, this will be driving trip, so it's drive to Odessa (actually Midland) Monday night, drive back to Wichita Falls Tuesday afternoon. Then a day at home before driving to Marshall on Thursday (have to see family on the way) before driving to Starkville Friday. Final game of the series is at 3:30 on Sunday, so I'll spend the night in Starkville then drive 10 hours back to WF on Monday.

Would much rather have flown to Knoxville (could have made it up Friday and back Sunday night).

Florida (33-7) is really playing well

checking in with the Ricebirds (16-21)...

it's now or never as the #114 Owls play their last 3 games of the season vs. a top 50 opponent (#17 FAU). Gotta have a sweep at Reckling

and speaking of desperate times...#71 South Carolina hosting LSU.

at 6-9 in the league this is a must win series for the Gamecocks. Especially with Vandy and Ole Miss coming up next

Have to agree at this point. All the potential in the world but can't play on the road at all and plays to the level of the competition. More like a #10-15 team.

RPI still #4 coming into the weekend though

We should bookmark this. We play both of them of a couple of weeks. I am sure if we go 5-1 they are overrated. If we go 1-5 then we lost to two top three teams

the Gamecocks (22-17) are playing like a desperate team with 2 comfortable wins to start their series against LSU. Unfortunately not getting that much of an RPI boost. Still in the 60's
