Mississippi st sweeps Arkansas
State moves into the 40's RPI-wise.

SEC could be an 11-bid league (assuming LSU gets its act together)

I'd say that Ole Miss (32-9) has locked up its top 8 / national seed barring a major collapse.

series wins vs.:

Arkansas
A&M
Georgia

3 teams in the top 15

Auburn - Alabama game is ugly. Bama can't throw a strike in the 8th. 14-5 Auburn currently.

Now 20-5. Really letting their pitcher struggle.

44-10 in the 3 game sweep. Ouch. That is borderline Texas tech stuff.

Rice and TCU on the verge of getting swept by FLAtlantic and Baylor respectively this weekend. Very damaging for the post season hopes for both if they drop that 3rd game today.

The (16) regional hosts by conference could have a strange look this year. Lot of baseball left but as of now it could be:

SEC 6
AAC 3
ACC 3
Pac 12 2
Big 12 1
TBD 1

UCLA and Indiana with somewhat high rankings but low RPI's. Has a conference ever had (6) regional hosts?

I believe there were 7 SEC regional hosts to 2016

I think we'll see some movement on the ACC side and they'll take at least on if those SEC spots. Indiana keeps winning and they'll host too - NCAA loves them.

what a strange weekend of baseball this was in the SEC.

wondering if South Carolina reads texags. The Gamecocks were terrific this weekend to reach 9-9 in the league.
and what a disastrous series for LSU (24-17). Outside the RPI top 50 and headed to Ole Miss next

and checking in with the Big 12...

somehow #35 Oklahoma State has found itself in 1st place in the league...2 full games ahead of Tech.

terrible loss for the #33 horns (28-15) today. Can't lose home games to teams with #185 RPI. The sips still have 6 road games vs. top 30 opponents, so perhaps still a chance to get into hosting range

Tech loses to OU, TCU gets swept by Baylor, and t.u. loses to New Orleans. RPI hits abound...

interesting situation shaping up in the SEC with regard to conference record and teams hosting.

Auburn is 9-9 in the league, A&M is also 9-9, and Kentucky is 8-10.

will they or can they host at 15-15 in the league?

at this point UK will be hard pressed to reach 16-14, but might finish with a top 16 RPI
