1) It was the right call

2) Fans have every right to voice their displeasure

3) Fans have NO right to delay the game, and potentially endanger the players on the field by throwing things into the field of play.

FWIW this has long been a "tradition" of LSU'ers. Throwing things onto the field, throwing things in the stands at the opposing team fans, etc. There is "being passionate" (loud, even obnoxious - A-ok) and then there is being a general *******. I know it's not all, or even most of your fanbase. But it is a substantially larger percentage at LSU than it is at most schools.
THIS! And we have a few of them too unfortunately, but its nowhere near the percentage or extreme.

I've never seen an Aggie throw trash or anything else on the field or at opposing players/fans...I'm sure it has happened but I've never seen it.

AgAin I was there...there was a rowdy section in right center that did it......

The extremes you are making it are my point....

LSU known for energy passion intimidation

Aggies known for passion, love of school, being accomadating, they don't boo....etc.

I was speaking with an Aggie fb coach the other day and he said it best....y'all need some LSU in your life....you are just too nice.

Everywhere I went in Omaha people raved about our fans....I'm going to go out on a limb and say we are going to be ok.

game deciding? The next inning y'all had guys at first and third with no outs and didn't score again. Follow that with leaving a tired pitcher in to get shelled for four runs. That one correct call was not game deciding

This thread didn't mention trash until later....it called our fanbase out for some leaving in the 9th inning....

That section that threw trash was the main energy in the stadium....their energy was a driving force in the game.

I'm glad y'all are proud of that reputation....

LSU is also proud of ours despite our faults...

I haven't missed a game there since 2000. Don't know about you. I don't fid the Aggie crowd any different than any other. 3rd quarter ends and the beat the traffic crowd is gone regardless of score.

VThis thread cracks me up....we have Aggie fans on an Aggie message board no less making fun of the most passionate and dedicated college baseball fan base.....23000 were in the game as paid attendants....26000 showed up I among them.....

And you are making fun of us because a few thousand left in the 8th inning of a national title game.....

I respect the Aggie fan base....live and work among them too.

However, this elitist attitude that yall have about how awesome y'all are as fans is so skewed.....

Do I care that y'all wanted us to lose? No that's what a rivalry is about.

Do I care that you are making fun of LSU baseball fans? Yes, we broke the attandance record in Omaha again.....painted Omaha purple and gold. The city loves us and our fans. Sorry we didn't meet your standards of fandom.
1. While I don't know of a larger fan base that travels better than LSU, those two facts do NOT make you THE most passionate nor THE most dedicated.

2. (Most)Aggies don't care that YOU care that some/few Aggies on a message board mock and ridicule those among you who behaved badly and left the game when things went sideways for "their team".

It's long been the tradition at A&M to stay and support our teams till the very end, win, lose, or draw. Perhaps those of us mocking your fans are among those Aggies who still follow that tradition.

So, bottom line, you don't care and we don't care that you don't. And we both know your fans will continue to behave in the same manner because "you don't care!"

Btw, congrats on your record setting attendance. That's gotta be worth something.

Where do these posters come from? Pudge, or you a graduate of LSU. Your post "sounds like" something a Jr. High girl might think/write. Such drama/projection. I never saw Hop, nor any other poster, attack individuals. The criticism is in general, and doesn't condemn all LSU fans. Sheesh!

From what I remember, Pudge is a softball coach and usually provides good insight during the season

There have been times I wanted to throw stuff at refs during football games. One was an inadvertent whistle that stopped a perfect run play call vs Pitt; it would have setup us near the goal line to keep the game close. Another was the targeting call against RSJ. Of course the personal foul at the end of '11 tu game. Fortunely I'm usually on the third deck and have self control

I understand their frustration. I turned off the game in the bottom of the 8th myself. It's not fun watching your team lose another national championship. 1/9/12 was miserable, I can tell you that.

These people paid a lot of money to be there, and the team gave them little to get excited about in either game. I love my Tigers, but I'd be pissed watching that in person, too. I'm sure some of you have left early if A&M was losing and you knew there was no comeback on the horizon.

I don't care who you are, watching your team lose is never fun. Especially in a big game.

Man, these LSU posters trying to defend just CONFIRM even more the natureof the fan base.

Some random "points" by LSU fans above i want to address, which i address as "you" collectively:

1. You said the original post mentioned only the leaving, not the trash throwing. uh, have someone read it to you.

2. one of you talks about the ridiculousness of aggies talking about another teams fans on an aggie board, but entirely miss the irony of what the hell an LSu fan is doing over here (i mean u rookie, not regular posters). i have not the slightest interest in traveling to an LSU board.

3. you claim the game was "over" and call at 2nd was "game deciding". completely ridiculous statements for anyone who knows baseball.

4. the fantasy that those leaving were locals who dressed and rooted fir lsu because lsu brings $ to omaha- really? REALLY?????

5. comparing leaving a national championship game 1,000 miles from home with game not decided and not staying to congratulate your boys on a great season- comparing that to people leaving a late night football game of a dissapointing season, a decided game, where a majority of the people have to still drive over a hundred miles that night?

6. Look, no one is questioning LSU turning out to support its team, or its rabidness in supporting when winning. What we are condemning is a repetitive display of classless behavior by a large faction of LSU fans. Defend it if you must, but you wont look good doing it.

The locals cheer for LSU. It's not an economics things, its a fan thing.. LSU brings more fans to the CWS, they see the passion and the 6 for 6, In the final 2 games you had 20-30 percent locals attending the game. They were the ones for the most part leaving the last game. Yeah, the 50 some LSU fans really showed their ass and that was a bad look. Side note, those 2 sections of fans in right field yelled their asses of for 90 percent of the games and were louder that all the gator fans combined.
