Personally I would love to see Andrtisos pitch some. I could see honestly where he play 1st two games and pitches one Coleman plays first the game he pitches and DH one game a series and Catch one game a series and let Bedford DH a game

But I have no idea of what it terms of starting talent we have coming in next year. From what I have heard the JUCO kid will probably crack the lineup and Blake and Foster should be in the outfield

Very excited about the 2018 team, and in spite of how frustrated I'd get watching us in the Supers and in Omaha, this team truly did way outperform any expectations.

Andritsos has also played 3rd. Originally I had suggested him at 3rd and Janca moving to 2nd.

We will have enough. Depth won't be a problem at all. The question is will our top end guys be dominant. Kilkenny and Doxakis and Kolek all have the potential to be high end SEC starters next year. But they have to make progress between now and then.

I'm almost positive Mason Cole ended up with a medical redshirt. I can confirm later this evening.

If this is in regards to the ordering in my post, they were put on the list as I came across their name on the roster and then alphabetically for the recruits. It's not in order of who I think will be starting at each position.

If it's in regards to me leaving Janca off the 2nd Base list, then "whoops"

I agree with this. Janca is going to play in the cape this summer and he has a cannon for an arm. He got much better with the bat as the season wore on too. He's not going anywhere. He's also a pretty darn good defender, despite his fumble in Houston.

I'll just also say this flatly... if Gutierrez can't learn a position, he's not going to play here. He doesn't hit well enough to take Janca's spot, or Coleman's, or Foster's for that matter. His defense is a liability. If I were him I'd start taking fly balls right now and try to go to LF. He's a circus on the dirt.

Deloach... kid runs a 6.6 60 and clocked a raw velocity of 94 mph... should be our CF from day 1 if he's comfortable enough at the plate.

I agree. But with all the competition, he may not have the luxury of time unless he can become serviceable in the field. I'm rooting for him, switch hitters with pop are hard to find.

I would hope Janca has 3rd locked up especially after a summer in the Cape.
Coleman ending the season at 1st could be a sign he's there next year. Or maybe they work Bedford at 1st during the fall so they can save their legs and swap with each other.
Helman looks like a good addition at 2nd.
Jimmerson quit either before or during last season
And I've heard a few young guys might be transferring to JUCO so that could change the depth chart for us. And of course if some other transfers coming in have a great fall it could change things as well.

at this point not sure there's going to be room for Foster, Blake, and Guiterrez in the everyday lineup if none of them can play CF and the juco player wins the 2B job

That's right, well at least he can play DH/1b and the other 3 battle for 2 spots and an occasional DH if someone is struggling.

Next year has lots of flexibility with Coleman able to play C/1B/DH and Jorge able to play several positions.

Looks like we lost an outfielder. Stanley's twitter says Howard College Baseball. I would have liked to see his potential next season if he got the chance
