Pepperdine plays Sam Houston and Rice this coming week. Need the Waves to pick up some wins and not collapse (like Fresno did last year). Bowling Green (0-6) apparently is not going to help A&M's numbers

glad that both teams started hitting the ball today. Otherwise this series was looking like one of those classic (and semi-boring) Big 12 series...where nobody can score

and going forward (and at the risk of bringing politics into the baseball board)...Pepperdine (as a private school) may continue to be the regular west coast opponent for the Ags in the non-conference.

with the recent developments in the California legislature and the Texas legislature...the likes of UCLA, Fullerton, Fresno, SDSU, Cal, etc..,may not be available to schedule down the road

I really think that Shew homer loosened this team up. It was almost like the tension just left the park. All aspects of the game improved (sans Corbin). Shew looks to a be a major leader already, whether he likes it or not.

Agree but he also has a little bad luck in his outings this season. If the first batter does not get that little nubber of the end of the bat, good chance he gets out of the inning without giving up any runs.

Was talking to a friend about pitching yesterday and he mentioned Martin. Said he will get drafted high and the pros will put him on the 3rd base side of the rubber where he will stop leaving the ball over the plate. He of course texted me after he gave up the HR with a told you so.

I'll say this - the guy spent years as a scout and upper mgnt in the MLB and wears a World Series ring. He said all A&M pitchers (and many others) throw from the wrong side of the rubber.

I'm not doing to argue with him, although I suspect others will.

Fantastic insight. He's been the same pitcher for a couple of years now. Might as well try it.

That actually sounds like a great idea. His pitches do have a tendency to drift over the middle. I wish I knew enough about baseball to make mechanical changes like that. Tell him to email RC...lol. Sounds like he has the experience that would make RC at least listen to him. No disagreement from me.
