Never considered Texas to be a 4 seed, but with their terrible RPI, I suppose it's possible. But beating oSu today will jump that RPI up into the 80s. Doubt the committee would humiliate the Horns and seed them as a #4. But if they are a 4, no way I want them in my regional. One thing they can do is pitch and that would be a horrible 1 vs. 4 match up for any host.

Being a 4 seed might give the Horns a better chance to advance to the supers than being a 3 seed...

This whole discussion makes me physically ill.

I think Rice or Texas go to Baton Rouge, prob Rice because a Louisiana state school will be their 3 seed.

Makes sense, but it'd almost be too obvious of the NCAA to put Rice, Texas, and Texas A&M in the same regional two years in a row.

Also, the big reason Texas and Texas A&M were in the same regional last year is that the NCAA knew they'd play against each other as the 2-3 opening game. If Texas were shipped to CS, I doubt they'd be the 4-seed, so there's no 100% guarantee the two would play eachother.

Every argument on why Texas would go to DBU have seemed the most rational.

If UH hosts, I think that might actually be the most logical site. DBU flirted with a national seed, and has a small park. UH will need more help to sell out, so, from a money perspective, that's the place to send the sips.
