Did you play softball?

Nope.

I love the game but I'm horribly unathletic.

I assume you are a yellowjacket as well.

Brazoswood Buccaneer. I knew several Alvin ladies from class of 92 which played softball. Actually took one to my prom.

I'm fairly new to this baseball thing, but have followed some this year. Are we now a lock, or do we need to win one (or more) more?

Aggie offense makes the SEC pitcher of the year look pedestrian, teeing off 3 times on a guy that gave up 4 all year.

Nottebrok makes some good plays at 3rd, Taylor with another good play in left, and no errors.

Kent gets the first complete game of the year for the Aggies in an amazing start. Really stepped up.

Can't ask for more than that. Great effort from these guys.

I guess I have to go a day without Aggie baseball now, but it's definitely worth it. Our next game is at noon on Saturday.

Just realized we're in the single elimination part of the bracket again.......total bs. We should have to get beaten twice

I heard the announcers just say that semi final on Saturday is single elimination. Is that true?

Yep. Next loss and we're out, even if it's on Saturday and that's our first loss.

Are you knowledgeable about the subject? I feel like we aren't a lock.

We get a "bye" to the single elimination round.

Gotta have a little rest for the real tournament.

Yes

I think the SEC does that because it gives teams that needed a good run in the tournament a chance with double elimination, but once you reach the semifinals, it keeps teams from over using the pitching the weekend before regionals start.

Exactly. Take Bama, for example. They already had to play an extra game because they weren't the top seed. If they somehow get past Vandy tomorrow, asking them to beat us twice on Saturday, and once more on Sunday, would just be obscene. Obviously, if Vandy wins tomorrow, they'll have a better chance than they might have with a true double elimination, but, on the other hand, since we know it's do or die on Saturday, we'll handle our bullpen differently than we would if we might have to play two.
