any National Championship is great. to win 3 in a row men and women's in track and field is unprecedented. i come from a small class A school, all we had was football, basketball and track. i love track almost as much as football and there are many who feel the same way. i'd pay more to watch a track meet than a baseball game, that said i love our Ags baseball team too, and consider any National Championship as an outstanding achievement. $Bill has done a wonderful job giving us coaches that give us the best opportunity on and off the field.

I dont live in the state of Texas anymore. Its also well known around my office that Im a "baseball only" fan. And yet, I still had multiple people bring up the women's NC to me the day after. Maybe your work friends arent completely representative of the entire population. Seriously.

I live in Northern California, in fact I live a few blocks from where one of our girls track stars went to high school not to mention that I am in Stanfords back yard. Everybody out here knows we won National Championships in each of those sports. Not to mention every time I watch Sportscenter, at the beginning, I see that Aggie Womens Basketball team hoisting the trophy.

The week of the Women's National Championship game I was wearing a Texas A&M Shirt and on the Colorado State Campus had two male students mention the game that I did not know. Just randomly mentioned the team to me.

More people know about the game than care to admit it. I am sure many of you knew when UConn was winning titles and when Tennessee was winning titles.

It's obvious A&M is becoming a women's basketball school. There's nothing wrong that.

My department full of Aggies was thrilled the day after we won the WB championship, and everyone else in the building that knew me and where I went to school emailed or talked to me about it over the next few days at work.

So yes, people were talking about it "at the water cooler".
