I was at the Memphis redbirds game last night and wacha was there. Why is he back in AAA? I thought he was doing well in St. Louis

He has options. They have pitchers. It happens a lot.

Brooks Raley was called up again by the Cubs today to replace Scott Hairston after the trade. May not be up too long but hoping he gets some innings in this time around.

He did 'okay.' He had a great first outing, should have lost his second. He struggled with control a bit and is working to refine a 3rd pitch. Easier to do that with regular work in AAA than spot work with the big club.

StL has consistently said they like what they see with him but they want him on a regular 5 day rotation so he can get used to the rigors/schedule.

Plus, they have a lot of arms in the pipeline. When some guys came off the DL he was sent back to Memphis.

Brooks Raley made his season debut with the cubs. Saved the bullpen by going 4 1/3 and giving up two. Looked confident from what I saw and even got two plate appearances in relief. Being a cubs fan, I hope he lands in either a starter or long relief role soon.

Raley gave up 5 ER on 7/19 against Round Rock

But gave up a 3 run bomb to Olt in the 6th. Lose 3-0.

Really wish I had been in Round Rock when Raley AND Loux pitched. That's 3 Ags this year that pitched against the Express.

Brick - Loux went 5 innings giving up 0 runs but was battling command issues. Olt hit a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 8th inning off the second reliever.

Mikey is not in low A ball. He plays for Danville Braves of the ROOKIE Appalachian League.

Lance, you can change Tyler Naquin to the Indians AA affiliate Akron Aeros

Hope they move Tyler up soon. He deserves to move UP.

Updated for the start of 2014. Some guys are shuffling around and some haven't started their season yet. As always, news of changes is welcome. Good to see how many guys had moved up a level since last season.

...and updated a little after the draft. I know a couple of those guys haven't signed yet, so I'll get around to changing it once anything is finalized.

Not only do I like to see our old players have some success and make a career out of playing baseball, but every once in awhile someone goes to a minor league (or even major league park) somewhere and 'stumbles' upon an old Ag. A little reference to put names together can't hurt.

Alex Wilson was called up over the weekend, pitched 2.1 innings allowing 1 ER, and then was optioned back down. This was his second very brief stint in the majors this year.

Pennington off the DL and back with the DBacks.

Pennington is getting regular PT and playing very well since coming off of the DL.

Anyone know if Mikey Reynolds is done with his suspension?

Pineda moved up to A+ ball and Juengel jumped to AAA recently.
