As I said in the Maroon Room yesterday, good for him. He should be commended on working as hard as he did to come back from "Tommy John" surgery and throwing well enough to go in the 11th round. My only problem was having his "agent" having him flirting with the idea of playing at Alvin CC. IMO, that was not the way to treat the Aggie program that was sticking with him wither or not he even pitched this past year.
Their was much hand wringing outside the program last year when Drake Britton signed with Boston, but the freshman All-American performance of Brooks Raley was much more than they ever expected out of Britton.
This year is the same thing with Tulsa's Denny Clement, he has the perfect attitude and tremendous ammunition to star for the Aggies just as much as Eovaldi would have.
Just like Raley, who played football in Uvalde, Clement will improve greatly with his focus only on the diamond instead of splitting his time with his all-state football and state championship wrestling careers.
