Gabe says the kid has 2nd or 3rd round potential with one or two good years in the Big12..............They drafted him in the 11th round so they are looking to develop him in the minors....he can spend a couple years in the Big 12 improve his game and draft position while getting a free education.

After two years under an excellent pitching coach like Childress this kid is going to get better and move up in the draft..IMO 70% he stays 30% he goes to MLB

...He can get so much more once he proves himself in the big12....He can get 11th round money anytime.....Alex Wilson was drafted in 10th round comming of an injury and without even throwing a pitch this year so he can get 11th round money anytime.

Full scholarships are rare in baseball so unless Nathan receives some academic scholarship or baseball is his second sport he is not going to get a free education, it will be about a quarter to a third less than what it would have cost. If he goes the D1 route he would have to stay three years unless he turns 21 before his junior year.

Lets just say if we get this kid for 3 years, we'll have a gem on our hands.

And he definitely has high round potential. Flamethrower.

I would say the chances are more like 40/60, though. I keep trying to get the low down but info is scarce around town.

Word is he is going to Alvin Community College

well that would be bad news for San Jac, considering they are known as the flamethrower college, and were mysteriously knocked out of the playoffs by ACC this year.

San Jac makes it to the NJCWS almost every year. I would be pissed if he chose ACC over SJCN! (family interest involved)

why go JUCO and not D1?

You can be drafted earlier (after your first or second year) at a JUCO. By going to a 4-year (?) college, you can't be drafted until after your third year.

He is going to screw himself out of alot of money by not coming here. He is so raw that he would benefit from coach childress instead he will be in the minors for 10 years trying to develop
