With SEC opponents?

Seems like a good idea.

I like playing other teams from PAC or Big 10 more.

Wouldn't mind doing that vs. tenn or uga, or florida since we don't get to play them as often... for practical purposes it won't happen. Sec schools won't even expand the conference games from 8 to 9. ..

I'm curious how this works with the various media deals. That would take a game out of the total inventory.

I would like to play all of those teams more often as well.

Seems like we are more familair lately with SMU & Rice than with our own conference mates.

It's a dumb, DUMB idea. Imagine a scenario when we win the SEC championship but lost a "non" conference game to an SEC opponent. The national perception would be that we were "fake" SEC champions, even though that game would legitimately not count in the SEC standings, and that perception COULD keep us out of the playoffs, depending on the scenario. I know it seems far fetched but it is not worth the risk, and our schedule does NOT need boosting in that way. I love the way we are scheduling now, we are playing in the state of Texas as often or even more often than we did before leaving for the SEC.
