Lot's of tshirt bammers in their crowd. Tend to be the most obnoxious. Their drunk fratties are worse than ours too. Lotsa entitlement going on in this state.

well, that's true and no team can stay on top for ever. It always ebbs and flows.

I'm just sick of all the media hype on them practically making excuses for their loss this year. I do think they'll lose to MSU too, but I could be wrong.

I'm sure the true fans aren't bad, but it's the ones out there, soooo arrogant that get me.

I don't like saying this as a Sooner fan, but they win a LOT, and in the toughest conference in football. I have to hand it to SEC teams, you take a beating week after week playing each other. It says volumes about the quality of competition in the SEC.

That last post was a nod to not only Alabama, but the entire SEC.

I'm glad they were six in the voting last night. No way you could justify it after they're Ole Miss loss. They may still win out, but I think MSU for sure gets them and Auburn might too.

I said at the beginning of the year, Alabama would have 3-4 losses. Don't see 4 as a possibility, but I still think they'll get the 3.

They're the Dallas Cowboys of college football. With that kind of status, you're going to get a bunch of nutty t-shirt fans like Phyllis from the Finebaum show.

Funny, some folks in Texas like to say 'horn fans fall into that category, but they don't even come close. You get that in Texas, but not really anywhere else. There are rabid-crazy 'bama fans throughout the entire South. I've seen it firsthand. It's cult-like. They have true national following, at least in one major region of the country. Not just one or two states.

You have to take that into account when dealing with the average 'bama fan.

Went to Ag and bama game two years ago. Bama folks were basically nice. I was prepared for a lot of Phyllis from Mulga and Harvey Updykes but was pleasantly surprised. So I go back to the game this year. Totally different. Bama redneck sitting a few rows in front of us would turn around and give us the finger and not just the finger he made a circle with his thumb and second finger and gyrated the middle finger on his other hand up through the circle. Four A&M male students sitting beside me yelled at him. He finally stopped right before half. By then I'd had enough of the place and left. Not sure I'd go bk to tuscalooser anytime soon.

As a Ole Miss grad I'd almost rather beat Bama or looseru than State.....

I too had a great experience there in 2012. Didn't go this year (thank goodness). It's just funny to listen to them or see tweets/posts as they act like it's unfathomable that they'll lose more games this year or pretty much any year. They smashed us, but I still don't think they're all that this year. I predict anywhere from 1-3 more losses for them. I could be wrong, but at this point am really hoping to see them beat by LSU, Auburn and State. And I really don't like LSU!

Nana fans can be a arrogant as they want, at least they're civilized, unlike LSU.

Spent the past few days in Alabama. I was actually pretty impressed. My daughter has received a full out of state tuition scholarship to go there, so we were visiting.

I thought it was a very friendly campus.

They were telling me how much they love the Aggies because we beat Auburn.

Everyone there is into football, but it was all in good fun.

I was very impressed with the campus! They are doing a lot of things right, and I think they should be proud.

I'm pretty sure my daughter will end up going there instead of A&M. A&M has gotten too big, and I don't think she'll get much in scholarships from A&M. We live in California, so we are out of state.

Anyway, I actually really like the Bama fans. (Total opposite of my reaction to t-sips. I can't stand that school!!!!!!!)

My daughter also had a full academic scholarship to Bama. Accepted into Petroleum Engineering at TAMU also. Only like $1500 total from TAMU. We were very UNimpressed with Bama academics. She went to Mines in Colorado out of high school. Hope your daughter makes the right decision. Just did not see it in the Engineering Dept.

My daughter has a very a rare disease, dystonia. It's a movement disorder like Parkinson's. Bama is doing research into it, and my daughter would be a likely candidate to participate in the research. We met with the professor who is doing the research and we were both fascinated.

She will have some challenges with college because of the disorder (she's losing the ability to write and sometimes she has problems walking), and the professor said that she should keep in touch with him even if she decides on another major. He'll hook her up with neurologist in the area, and the local support group.

I'd send my kid to t.u. if it were the center of excellence for a condition they had. Best of luck to your daughter.

I've had great experiences with Bama alumni, just like most of the SEC. It's been the t-shirt fan that was insufferable.

I've enjoyed my many visits to Bama. When the Ags played there in 2012, Bama introduced the Junction Boys prior to the game.
