Leave them w/ hiring Kevin Steele for DC as their best option. (Thanks to their AD)

We never will. We need to just accept it.

We have John Chavis... It's gonna happen now. We'll actually have a good defense. Our offensive play calling will be mediocre again, but Kyle Allen will be doing better next year, especially if he has to compete against Kyler Murray in the offseason.

When is the hiring of Chavis going to be officially announced?

Great...We will win on the last drive of the game instead of just dominating.

They may ultimately beat themselves.

oh please drama queen. in the mid-90s used to beat LSU regularly. we will again. they aren't the powerhouse they were a few years ago. no team stays on top for too long. they'll be down, we'll be up, etc...

We will never with those officials that threw the game and made money for themselves.

We had Johnny and couldn't beat them. We were home last year and faced their worst team in years and couldn't beat them. Logic is not going to beat them so I say just say beat them with a red stick.

they're strength was defense so our offense couldn't score much.
our weakness was defense so their bad offense scored more than usual.

Hiring Chavis flips both of those.

They're defense will not be what it was so we will score more.
Our weakness may still be defense but it will be much improved and will limit their scoring.

Chavis doesn't "flip" anything. LSU's defense will be good as usual because it's a mindset. it was there with Saban with his style, carried over to Pelini with his style and Chavis with his style.

All this nonsense about Chavis installing an "attacking, pressure" defense is just that, nonsense.

He didn't do it at Tennessee and he didn't do it at LSU. Why will he do it at A&M? It's not what he is. He's a "read, contain, bend-don't-break" guy. That's why they were good against Manziel, they didn't pressure him. They contained him and locked up the receivers with big time corners and safeties.

He doesn't have anything like the cover corners and safeties he had a LSU, so expect to see the corners 7 yards off LOS, with a middle safety about 20 yards deep. He played Chad Jones 20 yards off the ball when he first got to LSU. That's what you'll see until you get some SEC talent level DBs recruited and coached up.

A&M will be better on defense than they were the last two years, but expecting John Chavis to throw and LSU defense onto Kyle field for the Aggies next year is pie-in-the-sky foolishness.

agree.

but our defense will be better than previous year.
their defense will be worse.

Both of those will lead to our offense scoring more points than theirs.

You may want to take a closer look at the caliber of players starting to amass in Baton Rouge. LSU will be a force for the foreseeable future. Fact.

It will take more than Chavis.

I read your post and felt sorry for you. Let me tell you how you beat LSU . Watch the Bama -Ohio state game.

Just kidding. It's like a 7 game nba series. Bama wins 4-1

For the Aggies to beat the corn dog's Sumlin must:
1. Have dominate d line
2. Line backers must keep everything between the tackles .
3. Offense needs to slow down and pound the ball and do play action. High powered spread, how'd they do this year in the natty.
4. Have depth. This is the first year since a&m joined the SEC that I feel they have SEC depth.
5. Killer instinct.

Simple: First, we have to out recruit them. Second, we have to out coach them. The winning will follow.

The out recruit part is going to be tough with all that Louisiana talent staying home but we are making strides. Landing Speedy Noil was a great start... Out coach should be much easier now that we have Chavis. Miles is an elite recruiter but very average with the X's and O's.
