My buddies and I drove 18 straight hours right after the game and got home earlier this evening...fantastic game!!!

Thoughts on Gamecock Country:

Great stadium and great energy in the stadium (until the Ags sucked the air out of it). Every fan base has the 2% a-holes in it, and we were fortunate enough to not have to deal with any of them! Gamecock fans were very courteous and inviting and asked us a bunch of questions about personnel and traditions of ours. No complaints whatsoever and I think Carolina is gonna make a great cross-division rival. We did hear some smack talk...but it was all in good fun...and how you gonna start any type of rivalry without a little smack talk?

That's good to hear. In the end, the best way to make a team your rival is to beat them - consistently and in front of their home crowd.

Will be fun to see how this one plays out. Thanks for the report.

Thats why they invented airplanes. Could have been there in about 3 hrs.

3 hours? Is the plane picking you up at your front door?

Add 1 hour in the airport *minimum*, both ways. Then the trip to the airport, both ways. Then finding parking and a rental car. And that's if there's no weather or nothing wrong with the plane that keeps you and your connecting flight (if any) grounded.

Almost missed a wedding due to 10 hours of airline ineptness. My neighbor just got back from a two week stay in Italy and has still not seen her luggage since she checked it in on the flight *to* Italy.

At least when you drive, you're in control.

We flew from DFW on US Air and it was great! However it wont be long before American takes over and crams more passengers into smaller spaces. I hope USAir takes over management but Im afraid not. Anyway it was a great day for the AGGIES!

The thrill of watching the sun set on South Carolina by halftime:

Flying to SC nearly impossible from Amarillo.....well flying a lot of places is! We go out for the equestrian meets and the best option is flying to Atlanta and driving 4 hours!

flew from CS to Dallas to Charlotte and drove to Columbia. Total travel time from setting foot in CS airport until we were in our hotel room was 8.5 hours.

Is that Lake Murray? I miss Columbia. Nice place to live. But not as good as CS!

The pilots I have talked to say US Airways picked up management by and large.
