It seemed like everyone is losing their QB this year.

Does anyone else feel like that will contribute to a down year for the SEC?

This year was arguably a down year with FSU breaking the streak, but honestly, I don't see any one team putting together a complete enough season to run the table in the SEC.

Auburn is the obvious candidate with Nick Marshall returning, but Malzahn still needs to prove he's not a fluke.

As for fresh meat, I hear good things about the QB out of Georgia. Other than that, a whole lot of nothing. Obviously around these parts we know a thing or two about Kenny Hill and Kyle Allen (as much I respect Matt Joekel, I don't see him starting). LSU's been winning without a quarterback for years. Bama's QB situation is a quagmire.

Overall, I could definitely see the playoff bids going as such:
1. 13-0 ACC Champ (FSU)
2. 12-1 PAC Champ (Stanford)
3. 12-1 B1G Champ (MSU)
4. 11-1 BWTF Champ (OU)

Left off: A bunch of 2-loss SEC teams

You saying my Hogs won't run the table next year? Seriously though, you may be right. I just don't see a dominate team next year, much less three like there has been for the past few years.

A 2 loss SEC champ would still finish top 4, IMO. This year is full of opportunity... Fo Sho.

Bama will just lean more heavily on their run game and keep on stomping people.

We have Dylan Thompson who saw time last year when shaw was injured. Shaw however was on another level and Thompson was pulled when games were on the line. I like Thompson as a passer even though he's not quite as mobile from what I've seen. Mike davis in the backfield is big though and should help ease the pain. Losing quarles, clowney, and Hampton can't be overlooked though. Our d will look different.

This may be the best part about college ball. Someone is going to step up and make a name for themselves. Great coaches build systems that capable quarterbacks can step into and thrive.

Dak Prescott...best QB returning in the SEC next year, and nobody knows who he is...I hope it stays that way too.

Mizzou has that one dude at QB coming back thats supposed to be pretty good.

Every other sec team is getting a new qb. Odds don't mean anything. Marshall is a bad qb so I wouldn't be too pumped about being behind him.

I didn't say he sucks, or was awful, I said he isn't that good. Our defense was hilarious bad this year. Against us he threw for 149 yards and ran for 24. That's not good. He had 10 touchdowns in the air this year and 7 ints. Manziel finished third in the voting and eclipsed those kind of numbers.

Dak went 14-26 for 149 yds, 2 TD's, 1 INT through the air against y'all...he also ran the ball 16 times for 154 yds...he did not start the game, Tyler Russell did and they split time...Dak amassed those numbers over the course of about 1 half of football...Dak was the MVP of our Bowl Game and went 17-28 for 283 yds, 3 TD's and 0 Picks through the air, he ran the ball 14 times for 78 yds with 2 TD's...you're right...he's "not that good"..

He sure is making quite the impression tonight!!

Um, Dak threw 4 TD passes Saturday night and looked damn good. Keep up the nay saying though.

I'll stick with Vegas odds...Dak is still in the thick of it per Bovada. We're one game into the season, and I'm not writing anyone off, unlike y'all. We'll see how good Carolina ends up being and how Kenny Trill does the rest of the way. He looked great in game 1, we probably won't know how good he is until he plays us in Starkvegas. Nobody on your schedule has a D worth a damn until you play us, so I'm sure he'll be getting plenty of run leading up to that game. All of which will only fire up the Psycho D even more. If we beat LSU on 9/20, I bet Gameday will be in Starkvegas.

I just heard on SEC now Dak threw for a careeer HIGH of 284 yards. Thats his best performance ever. That is not a Heisman trophy winner. That said, I know he is good.

He played 2 qtrs against USM. He split time with Tyler Russell prior to this year. If our OL stays intact, Dak will dominate.

It is absolutely insane to think that Mississippi State can slow down Sumlin's offense! USCe couldn't do it. Bama is not going to do it. The only teams with enough talent and swagger to slow down A&M is Auburn and LSU.

The only question is the butt kicking that is coming to Mississippi State is by how many touchdowns will they lose by and if the game is over at half-time. We scored 38 against you in 2012 and 51 in 2013. Exactly what makes you think you can keep us under 40 points with the weapons that we have? From top to bottom we have better athletes on our offense (maybe less experience) but higher rated athletes coming out of high school.

Our defense is better than last year. Our offense is better than last year. You school is still in Starkville!
