quote:
"No. Your statement was 100% subjective. Ask your smarter friends or non-LSU grads what that means. It was entirely your opinion. "
I know what subjective means. I think it was a vocabulary word sometime between 2nd-4th grade. Your attempts to be condescending are weak and show that you are losing the argument.
"Again subjective. Just because one LSU fan says Baton Rouge isn't a total sinkhole into hell doesn't make it true. "
Aggies, who have shown how much they hate LSU in this thread, making statements about Baton Rouge are going to be completely biased and lack objectivity.
"Yawn. "As long as you stay in the containment zone you won't get eaten by swamp zombies and you can go to a festival!" "
Weak smack
"What is a "chain city?" At any rate, your statement is subjective likely only said as a means of insulting an Aggie because he called out your fan base. Your only comeback is "Yeah? Well College Station has chain restaurants and your campus lacks character in my opinion!" "
I am talking about cities that lack anything unique. Cities that are all On The Borders, Wal Marts, and Chilis like College Station.
I saw some inaccurate criticism of LSU, so I responded with some accurate criticism of A&M.
This is way too easy. Quit while you are behind.
Clearly you haven't ventured into College Station beyond just a cursory glance; you are no position to judge and its you who needs to quit. Your arguments are totally invalid and based on ignorance - which is what I should expect from a dirt-eating moron like a your typical LSU fan.
Edit: Since you consider this to be a debate where you get to declare yourself the winner, why don't you provide something other than opnion to back up your argument. Here are some facts I found rather easily:
According to Wiki the Baton Rouge metro population is 802,484, and includes several suburbs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baton_Rouge_metropolitan_areaThe same site says College Station metro population is 228,660 and includes the cities of Hearne and Caldwell.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryan%E2%80%93College_Station_metropolitan_areaThis website claims Baton Rouge has the 7th most fast food restaurants per capita with 95 per every 100,000.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/galleries/2011/02/07/fast-food-capitals.html#slide7Since you mentioned them, I looked at Chili's and Walmart's websites and found that there are 6 chili's within 20 miles of downtown Baton Rouge, for a per capita of 1 Chili's per 133,747. College Station has 1 per 228,660. There are 20 Wal-Mart's in Baton Rouge which comes out to 1 Wal-Mart per every 40,124 people; College Station Metro has 4, which comes out to 1 Wal-Mart per every 57,165.
Every way you look at it Baton Rouge screams "chain city."
