honestly, i couldn't stop laughing when i saw the initial footage of the fall during the so illinois game. carting her off and she's still doing the complete arm movements from the cheer they were previously performing.

how seriously do you take yourself? why not just wave to the crowd while being carted off?

talk about making a bad situation even worse.

She did that while in a coma. It's just a reflex action performed by autonomic nervous system: like breathing or blinking. Amazing how little brain power it actually takes to be a cheerleader (see USC cheerleader during Vince Young touchdown run).

That was fascinating. In the interview, she seems to almost BELIEVE that cheerleaders have something to do with the excitement level of the crowd.

I don't think she was joking. Did she bump her head to hard? Doesn't everyone know that the only thing anyone looks at the cheerleaders for is to admire the goods??

C'mon guys...

Someone does that here at A&M and he or she achieves hero or legend status.

And then we get to see a touching video montage about the incident before the football games next fall. And some group of students have organized a _______-out (insert approriate word) for the game.

A&M totally latches on to such gestures. So for us to say she was an idiot for doing it, I don't think we are being very honest with ourselves.

that being said, if a yell leader got injured and was carted off trying to lead a yell, i'd have the same reaction...obviously hoping the kid is okay but still shaking my head.

Because it looked like it was straight out of a SNL 'perfect cheer' skit... Does an injured basketball player pretend to shoot a ball when he is taken off on a stretcher? She looked foolish.

wouldn't it be the job of the ems to make her keep her extremities still while shes in that situation, I mean they can't be that sure that she doesn't have an injury of some sort and that kind of flailing and waving could make it worse.
