If I can get out of a prior commitment, then I plan to drive to the game from Austin, but I want to make sure tickets are available at the gate. My questions are:

1. Can anyone find out if this game on pace to be a sellout?

2. Did our sellout games earlier this season sellout days before the game, or right before the game?

Only the Tech game sold out before the game.

from what I have read, this game will be a sellout. Better get your tix ahead of time.

The paper today said that balcony tickets should be available.

Buy them online.

Bottom level sold out (except for the student tickets) Upper level still available.

Going well from what I've heard. Student seating only section that's not almost full.

i'm really scared about the student turnout.

I got one of the 1000 free tickets at 3:30 today, so I don't look for the student section to be full.

Pulled student ticket at around 1 PM - was still FREE i.e. among the first 1000!!

Checked online and still level 1 (mezzanine)not sold out!

as has been said on here before, if we do get a lot of students it will be a huge walk up crowd. Most students will have to drive back in town for the game, and hence won't pull their ticket till tomorrow.

Gotta remember......there are alot of students that live out of state, are out of state on vacation, or have things going on that they cannot get away from. This isn't going to be easy.

And they probably didn't think that we would have a game over Spring Break. We are new to this 'postseason' stuff.

I heard a little over 300 student tickets are gone.

However the balcony is going fast. CS has gone crazy for BB.

If we win, Byrne should sell a lot of season tickets. This is what is needed as students provide a lot of energy but less revenue.

400 of 1,000 free student tickets are gone. 600 remain.

5,500 tickets sold so far. Approx. 7,000 remain.

Yeah, that is true. I went with a friend who was getting a ticket at 4 pm today, and I asked the guy at the window how many were left. He said there's still 600 free ones to give out.

I expect several thousand will purchase tomorrow. We'll probably have around 8k. I'll be disappointed if that turns out to be the case, but I'll live with it if we kill Climzin.

Tom Turbeville reported around 5:20 that only the courtside had sold out. Mezzanine and Balcony are still wide open. Obviously the student ticket situation has been mentioned above.

can't the students just walk up and swipe their sportspass and go in. If it's first come first serve who cares about pulling tickets. most of them are out of town and will just come to the game on wednesday and go back home.

from what i heard sports passes wont work for this game. The NCAA wants money, and they dont get money from a sports pass. I could be wrong, but there is a reason there are 1000 FREE student tickets.

You definitely CANNOT use your sports pass. Student tickets are only $3, though. The pamphlet that I got when I bought my sports pass in August said that at any event hosted by the NCAA you cannot use a sports pass.

Don't worry about students, 90% of the ones who come will arrive tommorrow afternoon from Houston/Dallas/San Antonio/Austin or whatever. I think that 5 minutes into the game, every seat will be sold.

OK, stupid question here, but what does the NIT games have to do with the NCAA and them getting their money?

It doesn't have anything to do with the NCAA, it's the *NIT* gods that everyone has to give some dough to.
