I hope LSU carries the ball all the way just to see what happens.

The SEC is going to win in court, just a matter of when.

It would boggle my mind a bit if the SEC doesn't win.

A sports league generally has a lot of power in establishing eligibility rules. Age limits, drug testing, and conduct requirements are common and often upheld. I get that they can't 100% do what they want but...

If the courts decide to open the door for players who went to pro to come back to college, gotta draw a hard line of when that is okay and when not. Which it seems like the SEC is trying to do. Without a hard Yes/No definition of a line, then you might as well just say it is okay for LeBron James to play at Ohio State this season if he wanted to.

And please just draw the dang line so the eligibility lawsuits and TRO entertainment can begin to simmer down in future seasons.

I don't understand the case for Trey Kaufman-Renn, but Kansas signed him over the weekend.

He redshirted in 21-22, but then played in 23, 24, 25 and 26 so I don't really get what he's arguing. I think he'd be out of eligibility under any model.

Seems like self knows his time is limited so why not go back to his old sketchy ways. Up to 3 starters now that weren't going to be eligible in summer.

Jordan Pope wins his injunction in the Glancey case, that's going to clear the way for him to be eligible at least for the foreseeable future.

Also clears Dent and Clark for LSU.

I look forward to the inevitable NCAA appeal and hearing on their request for a stay of this injunction in like March of 2027 threatening dozens of potential NCAA tournament players on several teams.

On X, I came across some talk about Providence apparently going 0-3 on getting their 5 for 5 players eligible. I think its total bull**** how this season is almost certainly going to play out. Some teams get 5th year 2022's, some teams dont. Some teams play them all year, some teams (us potentially?) will have players declared ineligible in the middle of the season. This is a huge CF, and one everybody saw coming from miles away, except, presumably the NCAA who decided that this was a hill that needed to be defended.

I think its political, not sporting. I mean, they are basically sacrificing stability and sanity IMO, and its on purpose.

It's good for them to have unjust outcomes and people pissed off in order to boost support of their "Save College Sports Act"

I think that's part of it. I also think the schools wanted to let the NCAA fight the battles rather than figure out how to roster all the extra players.

Wow, judge dismissed Rylan's case on jurisdictional grounds. He's ineligible for now but I'm sure they'll try again somewhere else.

No ruling due to jurisdiction, resulting in Griffen being ineligible. That sucks!

I hope Rylan Griffen's eligibility will be reinstated before our SEC opener against Auburn at home on 1/2.
