Got into the flow a lot quicker with more minutes. Gotta keep starting him.

No Jacari Lane at all tonight was interesting. He's been way too timid the last 2-3 weeks.

Great win!

Key was Dominguez is back!

It started with a little mid range jumper and then let it fly from there

We finally looked like the team we were during our 7-1 start to sec play

The guys were letting it fly with confidence

I started that vibe change thread because you really got the sense from Bucky's presser yesterday that he was pissed and ready to just ride or die with aggression on the court. Lane needs to get the message and get back out there and make some plays. He's been WAY too conservative lately.

Listen to the postgame. He threatened Ruben about his playinf time if he didn't shoot and the rest of his history.

Pop had attitude last night. I think we need that on court more.

Lane needs to play like he did against TN, etc early in the conference schedule. Have to have the aggressiveness and assertiveness Pop gave us the other night.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

That's fine but don't allow him on the floor with 2 minutes left in the half or at the end of the game.

Something turns him into a turnover/dumb play maker when the clock hits 2 minutes!

It's absolutely wild that only Isaacs is catching heat for this.

- Two other players ALSO made bad turnovers during that stretch. Dominguez and Agee. Isaacs' was slightly worse because it was earlier in the shot clock but in my opinion we started taking the air out of the ball a little too early again, something we are extremely bad at.

- Isaacs was also 5/6 at the FT line in the last two minutes.

- Isaacs scored and assisted our only two made baskets in the last FIVE minutes of the game.

I know he had some rough ends of games earlier this season, but it's wild that people are singling him out for one play when our entire offense was a train wreck for a couple of minutes and his free throws were so clutch.

Similar to baseball, the only thing some people remember is the pitcher that walks in the winning run and loses 1-0.
He made a bad play that he knows he made but overall was better than Lane for these last 6 games. He should start from now on.

Ya he's a poor attitude guy and has almost a street ball attitude when things go poorly. Terrible passing fundamentals. Overall passing over the years has become terrible throughout basketball. No one knows how to bounce pass anymore.

Sometimes I think posters believe Bucky is just hiding the second coming of Acie Law on the bench.

Lane has been rough for a month now and Holloway can get reckless with the best of them. Isaacs is by far our best option at PG. I don't think anyone wants a combo of Griffen/Hill/Dominguez running the offense. Hill is great for an iso when we need to slow things down and get a good shot in the paint, but he is not a facilitator.

I need Pop taking about 6 three's from the top of the key every game. Our offense operates a lot better with him at the helm driving into the paint too, his assist numbers will keep soaring. His ability to finish and distribute is improving and gaining confidence… I think he plays exceptionally well with Clemence on the floor with him

Wild take at this point in the season.

Pop has been electric for us the past week

I think Pop needs more time on the floor. It might be too choppy for him to play 4 minutes, sit 4 minutes/

Im on the keep starting Pop list as well, I just like his aggressiveness (for the most part) and he has a little more play making.

As far as Lane goes, I actually think I like Holloway better than him right now. He has stopped being aggressive and it 3-4 inches smaller than Holloway which can hurt defensively.

I think starting lineup should be Pop, Hill, Ruben, Griffen, and Agee. I do like Clemence over Ruben if they want to go bigger but his fouling is better suited for off the bench

I agree

Pop is one of my favorite players on this team: always seems to come up with a clutch 3 when we really need it

Pop had another really gutty game. I was surprised he wasn't mentioned for Dawg, but there was too much competition for that tonight. Bucky rode him hard, played 45 minutes with 1, count it, ONE, turnover. Wasn't hitting the 3's but was 6-12 total, 5/6 from 2. No idea how he had that much gas tonight.

Speaking of running out of gas, I'm not a huge fan of how short Bucky's bench has gotten. I can't say we are exactly going into post-season fresh at all. We were 7/8 starting conference with a much deeper team. Let 'em back out there, Bucky. Especially playing multiple games in a row now, Got to.

Getting the 1st round bye is huge tho. 4 days off.

Pretty easy to see Bucky has trust in Pop at this point.

We looked more tired than LSU did for 3 OT's plus. LSU had 8 players who played 26 minutes or over. We had 5.

It's clear Bucky has a trust in Pop at this point that he didn't have earlier in the season. He been playing well and provided us a real spark. Hoping we are able to bring him back next season.

One of the bigger issues with pop has been his inability to hit free throws down the stretch in games.

He's clearly a better option than lane at the moment but it puts us in a little bit of a bind late bc pop has been so bad trying to close out games from the charity stripe.

I mean you can't just yank pop and insert lane the last 4 minutes of the game to simply hit FTs. We don't have a PG or guard in general where we can give the ball the at end of games who can bury free throws and close it out.

He made 5/6 in the last two minutes the other night. He missed a couple tonight but he also played 45 minutes with one turnover.

Yes but not arguing he shouldn't be playing more. On the contrary we need to keep doing exactly what we are doing he's clearly the best option. Lane has lost all confidence, griffin isn't a PG and hill is erratic

But pop has had several games were down the stretch he has missed multiple free throws which could have put it away. It is what it is.

Who on the team hasn't bricked ft's late?

It's pretty incredible how un-clutch we've been at time both from the field and at the line.

We also had a two point lead with 15 seconds left in the first overtime and Agee just handed the ball over. If Isaacs would have done that there'd be rioting in the streets.

I'd still want game exp at the stripe when it matters, Pop has had multiple seasons as a double digit scorer for tourney teams at well >80%

Exactly my point. We are in a bind bc no one can consistently hit free throws. There is nothing Bucky can do. Pop is better than others on roster but when you primary ball handler struggles late what do you do?

Nada. Nothing we can do except hope he hits them in big dance

We also miss more front end of 1 and 1s as a team at end of games than I can recall. It's bizarre even from guys with good FT %s
