I dunno if it's just my lack of awareness in recent years but it feels like we got the shaft on having a ton of weekday Wednesday games this year.

The Saturday games are virtually locked in outside of that random Florida-Bama game. I'm assuming any benefit of where your extra rest day falls would be washed out over a large enough sample, and it's all based on TV view-baiting anyway, but is anyone else kind of annoyed by how the schedule has played out?

Yeah I don't mind it and probably everyone has at least one inconvenient situation. Like Georgia has caught multiple teams off their midweek bye which a much bigger disadvantage. I don't love it when you have back to back road games Wednesday/Saturday when the other team didn't travel but it's not the end of the world.

Yeah, other than catching a team coming off a bye, it's no big deal

It would be nice if they'd minimize the situation where team A is on the road on Wednesday and Team B is at home and then Team A travels to team B on Saturday, but yeah it's not a huge deal.

Are we at a point yet where we're just letting AI create the most balanced conference schedules possible? I doubt we are, but this seems like the ideal use case for a very simple algorithm.

All the Wednesday night games are a bummer for me as I'm at church with the youth group. Rather Tuesday night. Usually nothing going on but aggie baseball and basketball.
