Just based on paper research, looks like Huss is a better candidate today for this job. I don't think Bucky is ready to replicate it outside his backyard.

The assistant coaching stops for Huss slightly favor his resume IMO. Got experience at high level. Bucky has never left Alabama. Just not sure that's the background we need at this juncture.

Will need an excellent scout/recruiter for sure but basketball is basketball . Same in Texas as Alabama. If it comes to be it will be a significant step up for him but that doesn't mean it won't work. Next yr would likely be pretty rough imo, we likely won't have many SEC hoops quality athletes.

NIL budget for a non Beard coach allocated by Trev will dictate success speed. Both are young, energetic and hungry, just wonder if Bucky outside his bubble will bring Ws. All a crap shoot.

Huss's off-the-court Buzz-like motivational stuff wasn't especially encouraging to me when I watched his interviews. Reminded me too much of Buzz.

I'd agree there should be more NIL $ available for hoops players since we are saving a ton of $ on hc salary.

On the order of a 30% increase . Seems like you could get a decent roster out of that but then again , I don't know squat about what these player get for NIL $.

Probably at least 7M next year. Bucky probably 2.5-3 less than Buzz so budget stays the same.

It says + revenue share which is around 3 M according to another poster. So it's in the 4 M range I guess

Our hatred of tu was driving the surge for Beard. We will see if anyone cares to just support basketball without that element.

Billy swatted down 7 million NIL but that was not what was reported. It was 7 in NIL + revenue sharing. Very different.

Like Lucci said tho, Bucky's introduction announcement and how he handles things within the first month could stoke some excitement for NIL support. That may or may not have an impact on next year but definitely could have significant impact beyond next yr.

The more I see about this guy the better I feel about it.

Alabama or Auburn is probably more likely. But worry about that later. If it happens it means he has done really well here.
