The dude that has been here for one year is the problem with our entire athletic department?
I'm sure Trev will make a bad hire, and make the hire within a day or 2...like he did with our baseball coach. It seems the players convinced Trev that Early was the guy because he was a "popular" coach. And now look what's going on in our baseball program. Dumpster fire. Go ahead Trev. Hire someone fast with no effort. I'm sure we'll get some guy with a funny name like always, with 4 14 win seasons ahead of us.

So it was dumb to try and keep the roster together who had just reached the CWS final and hire the AHC. At least he did it on the cheap and if it doesn't work we can move on at the end of the season. This kind of attitude is just pathetic to see by grown men.maroongoon95 said:

I don't much care for Trev and I don't think he's going to work out here. However, the Earley hire made sense at the time. I would guess at least 90% of the baseball board was on board with it. It just turned out that Earley is not a good coach unfortunately.
Jans is a pretty good coach but at age 55 only has 1 NCAA tournament win in his career and in 3 years has never achieved a .500 conference record or finished higher than 9th in the SEC.

I won't be mad. I personally want Bucky Ball on the Brazos solely to get a complete change of pace on offense. Full court press and an offense designed to get open 3's or easy layups. Sign me up

Rice - from Boise State. He has been a consistent winner and coached for more than a decade under Few before getting to Boise State 13 years ago.
AND he has a relatively young team in Boise - with several experienced players who could follow him to College Station and form the core of our new Aggies Men's Basketball Team.

I am glad we took a swing at Beard. Lets me know they are trying. Don't mind not pulling him. As long as Trev wants to invest, I will be happy with a mid-major coach. I honestly would rather have an up and comer instead of a known retread.

Maybe, but he's 61 and 5 ncaa's in 13 seasons doesn't inspire confidence
If you're going to go the old guy route then it has to be someone who's achieved a high amount of success in the past, like when uh hired Sampson
