So, I guess I'm in the minority here. I can't partition my life between winning and ethics. I have not successfully applied this every time it has come up my life of 64 yrs but my goal is to let my ethics determine my actions in pursuing winning.
It's never black and white in sports. If you're goal is to find a kind hearted, totally above board guy to head your program... good luck. Most coaches have to get down deep in the muck in some way in order to win- it's how business is done (and has been done for decades).
There is, of course, a wide spectrum of offenses from Sandusky down to Petrino and so on to chose where your line is drawn, but "ethics" and "sports" are becoming increasingly blurred.
