But either go big big big name
Or find the smartest most innovative coach there is

Otherwise don't even bother caring and save the money and hire a high school coach

It's very likely they'll hire someone underwhelming, IMHO. Money savings and all and not really supporting Basketball like they should.. re: NIL.

Hire a smart up and comer with a few yrs of HC experience for half of what we paid Buzz. See what happens …. If the trajectory is not favorable after 3 yrs do it again. If it's clear after a yr or 2 that the guy is really good try to lock him in.

Some of you are thinking way too small.

Bring Jones in as an assistant sure but his hire would set us in the SEC basement for years. And I say that knowing him.

And some of you are thinking way too big. Remind me why some think we are a basketball school. Look at the way Buzz, Turgeon felt. Jones, Barone could be the reemergence of Shelby and Billy type spirit to become a basketball school.
