What's our expected ranking this week?

Basketball might fall from #7 to unranked in two weeks, and somehow might actually be outdone by Aggie Baseball who should fall from #1 to unranked in two weeks.
Baseball probably won't, but 5-4 vs poor competition is the worst start through nine games I ever remember seeing from a preseason #1 in the history of college athletics.
Oh and let's not forget about Football!

Thankfully Basketball had a good enough start to (probably) still make the Tournament, but my goodness are we trying hard to squander it.

The 2 seed was a "if the tourney started today" scenario. No one who follows college basketball closely thought it was a lock.
Basketball will come it at #24
Baseball will come in at #14 if we win today and #18 if we lose today.
Softball falls to #8 if we win today and #10 if we lose.
At this point though rankings don't matter. Basketball and baseball need to see wins and momentum. Especially in baseball, positive things are contagious!

wOw.....we do not even deserve to be ranked at all........about a 4 seed at best !

It's all hypothetical and yes we were a lock at a 2 before we tumbled. There was no debate on if we would or should have been a 2 seed... that's how lock is used and it assumes a team doesn't self implode. Not sure why this is an issue...does it hurt the positivity?

Lock for a 2 seed? No way.. Never were a lock.
We were a 2 seed at the time but we had a tough remaining schedule and weren't likely to remain a 2 seed unless we pulled a couple of upsets
Losing to Vanderbilt was the killer
Win that one and you're still a 3 seed
I think we'll wind up as a 4 seed unless we beat Auburn
Lose to both Auburn and lsu and we could be a 5 seed

By your logic, we were a lock to be in the CFP because we were ranked tenth and projected to be in late in the year.

Came in at 21 in the Coaches Poll. AP poll out in 23 minutes.
After Auburn L and hopefully an LSU W, hopefully we'll stay in the top 25 and get an okay seed. Can't believe how far this team collapsed.
