The same people who said "this is basketball at A&M, we'll never be consistently better than this" were the same ones saying it during the Watkins era.

I think most of the sane regular people on here don't think we would or should fire him no matter what happens the rest of the way, but would be interesting to get the boards temperature on if they hope he takes another job or not.

I think he's going nowhere. The road is tougher next year with the heavy losses and the SEC has clearly gotten its act together in basketball. But even with those headwinds, I think he stays.

Whether he actually will or not isn't the question. It's whether or not you want him to.

I don't think we do better right now. And hiring a newbie with no A&M experience and little to no depth could set us back several years.

We also don't improve out NIL challenge by dumping or replacing Buzz with a mid major guy. We would have to make a splash hire to crank up the NIL funds from the donors.

I don't hope he takes another job, for now I'm pretty content if he gets us in the dance every year. Might not feel that way without advancement a few years from now, but fine with it now.

Same time, I wouldn't be worried about duplicating first weekend ncaa tourney appearances with a new coach. It's not really that high a bar.

Ok sounds like I should be taking A&M straight up.
