Just supposing they close out 3-3, I wonder where that would put us seeding wise? 23-8 overall and 12-6 in conference. I'd guess a 3 seed. That would be my best guess of how it goes with wins against UT, Vandy and LSU. 4-2 probably yields a 2 seed. 5-1 maybe a 1 seed . 6-0 would be a 1 seed and maybe overall the top seeded team in tourney

Once we beat Mizzou I shifted my expectations up, I like 4-2 here.

Agree on keeping the losses close but we haven't been blown out all year and I don't expect we will be IF we stay healthy. I don't really feel like a 10 pt loss is a blowout but it depends on how it happens I suppose. Down by 30 and cut it to 10 in garbage time…that's probably still a blowout.

Agree that @ Florida is the most likely L and risk of blowout but after watching State yesterday I have a bad feeling about that one as well. Don't really expect a blowout but will be very tough to win there imo. Maybe they aren't consistent as evidenced by their getting boat raced by Mizzou at the hump. I hope that's the case because the State team I saw yesterday looked very good.

I'm with Bob here. I was thinking 6-3 over our last 9 with Mizzou being one of the losses. I'm sticking with my 6-2 from last week and saying our only losses left are @Florida and Auburn.

My thiught was 3-3, but I remember that Buzz teams usually finish the season stronger than others (and this year finsh GAMES stronger), and play well in general against Auburn/Pearl.

Might also add Florida, who we did well vs White and 1-1 in two close games vs Gilden. So I'll roll with 4-2 just to be optimistically different. my season orediction was 10-8 so playing with hiuse money!

UT is a hard team to figure out. They got creamed by UF away, and then returned the favor at Knoxville. They also haven't been all that dominant, although their schedule has been tough. I don't really think they'll go very far in the tournament unless they play more consistently.

UF at home is going to be a very difficult game. I think we'll want to slow the game down, but they are a better team version of Arkansas with a really good big man and outside shooters. I'm not sure how much defense they play; it may be sort of optional for them.

Auburn is just really good. Hopefully, everything will be wrapped up for them and their motivation will not be really high.

I had to go back and look. I had us at 14-4 - which means we can only lose one more conference game. My guess is that one will be Tuesday's game in Starkville. The Hump has been a house of horrors for us (I say that without knowing our record there - just seems like we always lose).

Win the games we are favored in. That will be my main concern. If we can steal one we aren't that will be the cherry on top.

I could actually see us beating Auburn but losing at state

It's a tough stretch coming up and I think we go 3-3 with wins over vandy, Tennessee and lsu

That probably leaves us as a 3 seed
If we can steal one of the Auburn, at Florida or at state games to go 4-2 then I see us as a 2 seed

Yeah Tennessee and State are gonna be close, probably a point or two.

Have to keep Ziegler in front of us. We're hit and miss on good on-ball defense.

Tennessee creates most of their offense either in transition or with Ziegler penetration.

If we're able to make Ziegler play on the perimeter, I like our chances with UT.

I'm more concerned about our offense. Tennessee is statistically the best defense in the country according to Ken Pom.

What Tennessee lacks is depth. If games are called tightly they can get into a real game/foul management crunch. Fatigue probably not a factor in our game tho since they have a whole week to rest b4 that game .

I assume our offense, and theirs, will mostly be trash. Will likely come down to whether one team or the other can keep the other one from getting second chances.

Both elite offensive rebounding teams and mediocre defensive rebounding teams though we've been much better lately. We're currently the best rebounding team in the league on both ends but we haven't played two of the three of the next-best offensive rebounding teams yet which are Tennessee and Florida. The one we have played was Georgia.
