Is is reasonable to describe A&M as a slightly lesser version of Tennesee?
Kenpom Numbers as of Feb 6th
Offense Rating: Tenn (34), A&M (33)
Defense Rating: Tenn (1), A&M (6)
Pace/Tempo: Tenn (338), A&M (222)
Overall: Tenn (4), A&M (14)
Both are currently swimming in 1 and 2 seed waters in current bracket projections.
Both led by a star undersized veteran PG. Both have deep rosters full of seniors and 5th year players. Both play a slower pace physical style centered around an elite defense and an offense that isn't 'bad' with regards to overall efficiency rating but is prone to long scoring droughts with poor shooting displays.
How would ya'll describe the biggest differences between this year's Vols and Aggies with regards to pros/cons of either compared to the other?
These questions crossed my mind last night watching Mizzou playing the Vols, wondering if the Aggies on Saturday would now be a pretty similar matchup for the Tigers.
