The Ags have put themselves in a great position and this past Saturday I think we saw a team show how they can play when they come together.

However, with 9 games left, we're heading into a brutal stretch with 6 ranked teams. We need to come out of the gates strong and take care of Missouri; Georgia and Arkansas before the real gauntlet begins.

What is your predicted record for the Ags over these last 9 games?

i am going to stick with my original pick of 12-6 overall. very important to get to 9-3 to make 12-6 a viable possibility with our closing stretch of ranked teams.

5-4 We win all the home games. We lose all the road games. Hoping LSU has just quit by that final road game though.

I 'm sticking with my original conference prediction of 12-6 and 6-3 point forward. Win all 5 remaining home games + lsu. Would love to see us steal another road game tho and I feel like Ms St is the best chance. Missouri is so hot right now and I feel like Fla is a bad matchup for us.

Not so sure Tennessee would be an upset at home- responding to above comment about that. Auburn would be tho.

11 conference wins is still my prediction so 5-4 the rest of the way. But man I hope we can get to 12 wins as I think that locks in a 3 seed.

I'm predicting 5-4, finish on the 3/4 seed line.

6-3 would be HUGE, would probably put us on the 2/3 seed line depending on what happens elsewhere. Certainly a possibility as well.

5 and 4 seems about right to me

4-5 to finish 10-8 in conference and snag a 4 seed.

Our metrics have us as a strong 3 seed or maybe even a 2 seed at the moment so I think a 4 seed after faltering a little is well within the range of possibilities.

It's gonna be tight and they've got an absolutely insane stretch of games to close but Vandy getting into the tournament would be a hell of an accomplishment. Getting their doors blown off by Oklahoma didn't help them any.

They're going to need to pull about 3 wins out of this stretch somehow though and they're only likely to be favored in one of the games:

Their non-con was absolutely terrible though so it's not going to help them any. Missouri's non-con was horrible but at least they snagged a victory over Kansas as part of it.

In all likelihood the conference tourney won't matter at all. At least that's how the committee has been treating it the past few seasons.

I think people have gone a little too far the other way on this, but I thought that last year too. The conference tournaments can matter in certain situations. Especially the closer you get to the cut line.

The key though is they're not going to completely shift the conversation about a team based on the conference tournament. That was our problem in 2022, like two of our best three wins came during the SEC Tournament.

But I think if things are close between teams that the games still matter.

Beat Tennessee and Auburn at home and I think there is a real possibility we are on the 2 line. Add a win over this Auburn team to our already stellar resume and we'd be hard to deny the 2 line.

Assuming win #6 is @LSU in this scenario, Torvik's teamcast has us as the top 3 seed, but I think the human element would acknowledge the win over Auburn a bit more and put us over the edge.

Yes, with a decent shot at a 3 seed.

7-2 or 8-1 for a 13-5 or 14-4 record and sole possession of third place in SEC standings before the SECT.

We will get a 2 or 3 seed in NCAAT.

I was going to hope we avoid Auburn and Bama Brackets but now I don't care - because we have to beat a #1 seed on the way to San Antonio regardless - and I think we have as much chance as beating either of those two teams (heck - we make free throws at 75% and we would've already defeated Bama even without Wade) as just about anyone else.

I just want to stay out of the Duke bracket.
