Finally! I've been waiting for both to put the ball on the floor and drive to the hole strong. Like another poster said, I think Andy got fouled on his drive late in the game, but I sure thought he was gonna tomahawk dunk on someone.

Anyway, both guys are strong enough to take 2-3 bounces and get to the rack

Andy needs a hype man or something. He's gotta be the best player I've ever seen who doesn't think they're good. He's gotten better about shooting it this season but he's capable of even more. Loved that drive against Creighton. Not saying he need to try crossing over defenders but he can one dribble drive just fine when he's got a lane.

His high school real showed a guy with some offensive game. Something that could've been developed.

Some NBA team will take a chance on Andy and end up getting a good professional player IMO.

Andy has the best hype man already… his game does all the talking.

He is a stud. A very quiet stud.

My whole point is there's more in the tank than how he plays. He plays like a role player but he could be more than that. He flashes it every now and then.

This is an entire team (minus Taylor) of mostly mediocre-at-best offensive players, he should try to do more. It's not like he's taking shots from all of our elite shooters.

But at least he's finally shooting it more.

If Garcia has the ball in his hands then he's not on the offensive glass, that's the trade off.

He's got a decent offensive skill set, but he's an elite rebounder. When he's on the glass he raises all of our other lowsy shooters effective FG% by about 10%.

Add to that, Manny is just getting warmed up. Having this upgraded nonconference schedule in the fall will serve us well in conference play.

He doesn't need to be taking 20 shots a game or anything, but so far this season he's our best 3pt shooter and only two players are better from 2.

The idea isn't that Andy needs to take bad shots or force the issue, but there's at least a couple of times a game where he's either open on the perimeter or has a lane to drive it and he passes it up. He needs to go ahead and take those opportunities.

Yeah, any shot he takes is a shot he's not rebounding, but it would be nice not to need so many offensive rebounds.

We're one of the worst teams in the country at actually putting the ball in the basket, we can't have one of our few players actually good at it passing up opportunities.
