I already had Florida as my 4th #1 seed but there were many brackets that had Tennessee or others. This performance will go a long way toward driving consensus especially if Tennessee goes down…

That was such a weird last possession for Villanova...seems like they passed up several layup opportunities and for half the possession it was like they didnt realize they were losing by a point. glad it all worked out...

This isn't necessarily as damaging of a loss as it may seem - this is a quad 1 game, so don't expect the St. John's numbers to dip too much…but the real issue is that there is only 1 more quad 1 opportunity remaining for St. John's the rest of the way at Marquette. Given that, this probably eliminates St. John's from 1 seed consideration. And for them to even be in the 2 seed hunt they probably have to win out including winning that game at Marquette.
Very damaging to them in the net effect vs a win. Just not obviously damaging, like you pointed out. More like wasted opportunity cost.

Interesting that the average bracketologist on Bracket Matrix has St John's as one of the last 4 seeds. Thought they'd be a little higher.

Absolutely insane...Wake up big most of the game, Florida State comes all the way back to tie it. Wake Forest goes up 2 with ~20 seconds left. Florida State hits a 3 to go up 1 with like 13 ticks left.
Wake Forest inexplicitdly takes a jacked up 3 with like 10 seconds left, brick, and Wake Forest basically quit after FSU gets the rebound with 7 freaking seconds left....didnt foul...so FSU goes and take a dunk to go up 3 with 1.2 seconds left instead of just dribbling it out
So FSU up 3 with 1.3 left, Wake inbounds the ball and about to jack up a halfcourt shot and FSU FOULS HIM. with 0.3 left
But Wake Forest isnt able to make all 3 free throws and takes the loss...
