I love Andy but no chance.

Wasn't that BuzzFan's question in the first place?
Thats how the Cowboys got Romo and Dak…but with intention of them starting not as projects.Seven Costanza said:This. You more or less have two categories players in the NBA: Creators and "other guys". The other guys are expected to play defense and hit open threes (unless they're an elite rim protector). You can't teach athleticism, but you suprisingly can teach a lot of guys to shoot. So you take really athletic guys that can defend multiple positions and hope you can teach them how to shoot.MarcAg said:
Yes. NBA loves great defenders. They draft them and hope they can teach them to make open threes.
I don't think he has it, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him in the NBA down the road.
The NFL is similar with drafting QBs in the late rounds. There are very few people in the world that have the arm strength to make the throws they need to make, so that's criteria #1 at that point above actually being good at the position. So you draft the guy and hope they can figure it out, knowing they probably won't.
Pleaded not guilty in August is the last I've seen on the case.a66ies said:

a lineup with Andersson Garcia, Henry Coleman, and Jace Carter off the bench is pretty scaryLukeEvangelist said:CactusThomas said:

Wade Taylor IV
Zhuric Phelps
Manny Obaseki
Solomon Washington
Pharrel Payne
That's my best prediction, but you know how Buzz is, he always has one or two guys that you would not expect in the starting lineup to start the year. I still remember last year when Hefner started some games lol. Would not shock me at all to see Jace Carter or Henry Coleman crack the lineup, but in my mind those five up there are your best five with Garcia first off the bench.

Related, but I think Coleman is going to have a really good year. He's better than a lot of our fans realize. Said this last year but he's a Robin that didn't have a Batman last season. There's a reason that the better Marble got, the better Coleman was, and now Payne should be able to provide that.
Wasn't always a positive result with the couple of games when his free throw shooting was a nightmare. Hope he continues with the slightly better shooting during the tourney runs.bobinator said:
I think I'd push back on Manny being "small" but he's definitely faster than the other two. Carter and Hefner are both listed at 6-6 compared to Manny's 6-4 but I think I'd argue he plays bigger than both of him because he's a much better athlete. I actually wondered at times last season if Manny should play the four in certain situations. He can shoot decently well from the high post.
But Manny's big problem a lot of the times is he's an absolutely terrible passer off the bounce. He's going to have to do better at that this year if he's going to play 20+ minutes for a full season because opponents are going to adjust to how he drives the ball.
I do think if Buzz had it to do over he'd probably let Manny loose a little earlier in the season and just see what happens. I think he probably underestimated how much better the charge rule change would make his driving ability.
this is my favorite basketball! I love a double post game, especially with two big guys who can share the ball! I'm not sure what Payne brings in that regard but it would be nice to see!!!bobinator said:
