The biggest head-scratcher to me is the fall-off in FT shooting from last year with many of the same players.

It's been discussed on this board and others and has appeared in multiple articles.rlb28 said:Muy said:rlb28 said:
My point is that I hadn't seen the extra part about nearly causing an accident while fleeing. Had u seen that?
No but "nearly causing an accident" is subjective at best. Everyone of us probably "nearly causes an accident" while driving every week.
Never mind.
I'm not arguing if he should've played or if it's thuggy or not. I'm just saying that across the entire TexAgs site, I haven't seen the second part about him fleeing and running a second stop sign and nearly causing an accident.
He specifically mentioned Texags and some of the specifics....."AD" for instance. The guy reads everything, and fan base attitude is important, especially ih the day of social media, portal and NIL.Quote:
I now believe Buzz does read Texags.
I trust the guy to run a program we can be proud of. Not really worried about that at all.
He specifically made the comment yesterday that yes … we should recruit better shooters which may be true but I don't think that's even the issue . It's something about the way they coach (or don't coach) shooting imo.
Looking at the remaining schedule, what do you see? Two games against Tennessee, one against Bama, one against SC. If we don't pick off one of those, it may be hard to finish better than .500 in league play, because this team has a tendency to cough up a game against a team they should easily beat.txag72 said:
Not the game board and not right now. So negative with more than half the season to go.

I'm not sure why he would worry about Texags. The basketball board has been the same 37 people arguing about the trajectory of the head coach for the last 20 years.

There are a few football only posters who show up to act like they care about basketball. And act like it's a personal afront that Buzz Williams is paid what he is paid.

I'm a fan of broader conversation with fewer viewpoint restrictions, Muy. But the unhinged fans hiding behind relative anonymity to in essence be asswipes deserve yo be called out repeatedly as a matter of viewpoint freedom. If f they can't handle it, they should change channels. The so called manning up. But women letting their tushes hang out are exactly as deserving of opposition.Muy said:Double Diamond said:Lance Uppercut said:

Uh oh, Ags aren't allowed to talk football and now basketball, are they?

Coming here for the sole purpose of using anonymity to tear down the team or the coaches is a deep character flaw. It's still a fan board not an anti-coach board and most who are here respect there is a bright line between direct, substantial negative comments outcomes and the behavior above. You do, too.

But that was word salad, as it so often is, in this case designed to prevent further questioning about Boots vs CSPD by implying anyone should be embarassed to ask further about it. And a vague "I know every detail about it but I can't tell you".
We now have Marble and Boots in trouble and no clear explanation why, nor do I expect to get one.
That's reasonable. The football fans and the entitled booster club members are the ones I view as exhibiting the across the line behavior…Muy said:greg.w.h said:I'm a fan of broader conversation with fewer viewpoint restrictions, Muy. I am happy to eat crow for calling out the things that frustrate me the most watching the team. Don't expect perfection, just expect to look fundamentally sound. In the end, I want every player and coach to succeed.

I wouldn't even call me a casual fan of Aggie basketball.
More of an occasional viewer. But the times that I've watched our games this season, I've seen us take very bad shots, and handle the ball in a sloppy manner. Rebounding is average at best.
I like Buzz, and want both he and his teams to have great success, but I just don't see that we are all that good. Just north of average.
If by average rebounding you mean one of the best in the country, then yes.

You've totally misread that.
IMO Buzz wanted to call it BS, overzealous policing, and/or targeting of an Aggie athlete or black guy, but he knows that's setting off a nuclear bomb to say that as a sitting HC.
He went about as far as you're going to go in that position with an active investigation.

Boots 79.6% last week
Boots 65.1% this year
WOW!
His FT attempts are down near 1.5/game
That was hard to watch. Manny totally psyched out at the line. Gotta get that fixed.Method Man said:
