Lee: I'm still intrigued by this dude. I know he's not a scholarship player but he looks really tall and athletic. His HS highlights look like a four stars. Can we put him on the Dexter Dennis development plan?

Pratt: I'm not sure if he sticks around but ge seems to have a higher top end than Hefner or Gordon. The supposed knock is on the defense but I don't think much of Gordon or Heff's defense even if they're high effort guys.

KK: Buzz said he's a better defender than Gordon and he can't possibly be worse on offense so I'm wondering if he doesn't get more of a shot next year. He does get ripped a lot which is awful.

I never understood why KK didn't get more run. He got hurt and then never really saw anymore action.

Iirc in a conference game he scored 12 straight. Granted we were blowing out whoever we were playing but in that run out I was impressed

Buzz seems to have to develop a lot of trust in his guys. Some guys get their faster but recall he was bringing marble off the bench for most of nonconference.

I like Pratt - has decent size and could definitely enhance our three point shooting if he can just upgrade his defense.

I am intrigued about moving Garcia to the three - main uncertainty for me is creating off the dribble as he has a nice three point shot. This would open up adding another big / maybe a stretch four.

Solomon's athleticism is off the charts-hoping he can add some offensive game so he can see more time. His shut down of Quinerly late in the bama home game was a thing of beauty.

I think Manny makes great strides and grabs the starting 3 spot. I hope Kk can tighten up his handles as he is a plus defender too - hope he gets into the rotation.

I think we have the pieces with the right additions here and there.

Only guys for sure I hope are back are Taylor, Radford, Marble, Coleman, Obaseki, Garcia, and Solomon. Add the freshman Lindsay and that would be 8 spots filled.

The other 5 spots…whatever transfer portal churn happens to try to improve the roster then I won't blink.

This is a huge offseason for Manny, if he wants to make the next step. The athleticism is there, can he improve his 3-point shot, and his decision making?

As others have said in another thread, it's great that Dennis and Garcia are such great rebounders for their size, but we need Marble and Coleman to step it up on the boards. We can't compete with other top echelon teams if our best rebounders are 6'-6".

It's mental with Manny. He is out their way overthinking things.

I agree with this. I really like the kid, but he loses too many balls and is slow to the rim.

I'm not sure what Coleman has lacked can't be taught or developed. Squeeze the ball and use the body, man!

What have you seen to make that definitive statement?

Compared to whom?

If there is a Josh Nebo available, we really need a rim protector. Arkansas, Kentucky, and Alabama just make it so hart to shoot in the paint. A guy who blocks 3 shots per game and alters 5 more would allow us to be a little under-sized on the perimeter.

edit - in terms of their style of play moreso than their accomplishments.
