Horrible matchup for us and Buzz's standard defensive MO. Overguard the ball and leave the weakside 3 open. A finesse team that protects the ball like PSU is kryptonite.
When we make more TOs that our opponents and don't kill it on the boards, and can't shoot...that's toast for us.
Buzz' system works in the regular season. For it to work in the offseason, we have to mete out 40 minutes of hell every game.
Or guard the 3.
this is completely wrong. PSU made several contested threes against us. They missed several wide open threes vs the horns Inc 3 in the last two minutes (Funk missed two of those).Picadillo said:

What it comes down to is, if we played well (aka had good games from Taylor and Radford) we could beat most teams in the tournament. We had a good year
Unfortunately, the way the tournament works, we had a subpar game against a team that was on fire. Now we are done and just hope we progress more next year.

Some people are math-challenged. There are 68 teams in the tourney. 52 of them have already gone home. Even as a UNC grad . . .
Did they send the winning teams home from Saturday, or half of those yet to play on Sunday?

Texas dominated the entire game even WHILE going 1-13 from 3 and only 4 pts from FTs before the last minute of the game. That's insane. Texas is just far better than we are and it was obvious tonight. They can control a game they don't get many points in from 3s or FTs.

Thank goodness we didn't play tu. They would have embarrassed us even more. All our athletic departments are not very good. When tu joins the sec they will make us look even worse than we are.
