Within weeks of Kennedy taking the A&M job I met him and suggested he look at eatablishing a pipeline to the GTA talent pool. He pretty much laughed me off and suggested Texas had more than enough talent for him to compete.

Take a look at what has come out of Canada since Kennedy came to town. It's a hotbed of high end talent that A&M should have on lock down.

Sad. Same goes for football. But, but, but Texas...

I am not criticizing the current teams talent. They are fantastic! WOuldn't change the team for the world.

But...

It has taken way too long to get here and is it sustainable.

Oregon, Duke, Vandy (just now), West Virginia, Michigan, Kansas, UNLV, Syracuse, Gonzaga to name a few that have been cleaning up with Canadians.

Andrew Wiggins (#1 pick), Kelly Olynyk (stud), Trey Lyles (SEC FOY), Dillon Brooks (PAC-12 POY, plus 2 other starters from the final 4 team), Jamal Murray (2017/18 NBA ROY candidate), Anthony Bennet (NBA bust but still #1 pick), Nik Stauskas (B10 POY, lottery pick)...

That is just to name a few that A&M should have had run thru here.

Here are some that the Aggies should be at the top of the list for recruiting.

RJ Barret (#1 in America 2018), Simi ****tu (#5 in 2018), Andrew Nembhard (#23 in 2018), Luguentz Dort (#30 in 2018), Shai Alexander (#20 in 2017), O'Shai Brisset (#51 in 2017), Ignas Brazdeikis (#42 in 2018),

There is quite a bit of talent, unfortunately, that Kennedy seems to be missing - especially in the rural areas, and yes, including Canada. We'll see - its just frustrating to see mediocrity year after year when you can be certain that talent evaluation is not being maximized.
