My line of thinking is that if they wouldn't be expelled for trying to steal something in LA or some other US city, they shouldn't be expelled for trying to steal something overseas. I don't think the current Ball is good enough to go pro. Is this Ball (don't really care to learn which one is which) going to stay for more than this season? And the youngest is likely to be ineligible anyway with his shoe deal. The Balls will have minimal long term impact on UCLA basketball.

I just think that the crime being committed in China does make it way worse and deserves a much stiffer punishment.
Part of why this was as big a story as it was is China's authoritarian regime that cracks down hard on their population in ways that's aren't acceptable in the West.
